Self Defense Act (SDA) Course

This course is more commonly known as the Oklahoma Concealed Carry Course. A person wishing to conceal carry in Oklahoma must take and pass this course as the first step towards receiving the Concealed Carry License.
- Cost is $60 per person
- 8 hour course, consisting of 4 hours classroom and 4 hours range time
- Courses are generally scheduled for Saturdays from 8:00 - 5:00 with an hour lunch (Morning - Clasroom, Afternoon - Range)
- If you have 5 or more people in a group, we can provide private courses at other times/locations

What you should bring:
- Valid Photo I.D.
- *Handgun you plan to shoot (Highly recommend use of a semi-automatic for qualification because it will qualify you to carry semi-autos, revolvers, and derringers)
- *50 rounds of factory ammunition (No Reloads!)
- Hat with a brim (such as a baseball cap)
- Eye and ear protection
- $60 check or cash
- Pen/Highlighter for Notes
- Please do not wear low-cut shirts (Hot casings can burn and can be extremely dangerous on the firing range!)
*PLEASE DO NOT BRING THE FIREARM OR AMMUNITION TO THE MORNING SESSION OF THE COURSE.

What to expect:
- Saturday courses begin at 8:00 AM and run through 5:00 PM with an hour lunch break from 12:00 to 1:00
- The morning session is from 8:00 AM to 12:00 Noon and is classroom style.
- At the end of the morning session, there is a 20 question safety exam over the material we covered.
- After the exam, we break for lunch and meet at the range at 1:00 PM (Directions will be provided)
- At the range, we will go over some more material and then the class will shoot the 50 rounds of ammunition.
